Today’s Daily Five prompt
“Do you think they saw us?”
Mikey and Ralph were sitting as close together as they could in the shadows of the alley as the suspicious group of strangers slowly walked by, glancing up and down the street looking for the two boys who had taken the medallion from the top of the coffee shop counter moments earlier.
“Quiet,” said Mikey. “Based on how angry they look right now, I have a feeling this medallion is worth a lot more than I thought.”
The men moved past the alley and up the street out of view.
“What are we gonna do?!” Ralph was panicking.
“Let’s get out of here,” said Mikey. “Head out to our treasure spot and hide away before they see us again.” They heard a voice behind them and turned to see…
